Suggest a better descriptionHalve squash lengthwise; scrape out seeds. Place squash, cut-side down, in lightly-greased baking dish. Bake in 350 degree oven 45 minutes. While squash is baking, in small saucepan, saute onion in butter until transparent. Blend in flour, salt, and pepper until smooth. Mix in milk; cook over medium heat, stirring until mixture thickens and boils. Remove from heat; stir in Spam and peas. Spoon mixture into squash halves. Cover and return to oven for 5 to 10 minutes until Spam is piping hot. Microwave directions: Pierce squash; microwave 10 minutes until tender. Halve and remove seeds. In 2-cup measure, combine butter with onion; microwave 1 minute. Blend in flour; mix in milk, salt, and pepper until smooth. Microwave 1 minute; mix well until smooth. Combine Spam, peas, and sauce; pile into squash halves. Microwave 3 minutes. Cover and let stand 3 minutes. This recipe yields 4 servings.
